FROGGATT SENTENCED.
EIGHT YEARS IMPRISONMENT. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. Hector Froggatt, on four charges of indecent assault on boys, one of whom was a Boy Scout, was sentenced to two years upon each charge, the sentences to be cumulative, making eight years altogether. A medical man stated in evidence that Froggatt suffered from homo-sexual abnormality, but should have been able to control himself. He recommended that accused should have a long stay in the country, away from former associations such as the Boy Scout movement. Judge Sim, in imposing sentence, said the offences were most serious.
