The appointment of Mr A. D. Parke, Acting Secretary Cor Marine, as Assistant Public Service Commissioner, is announced definitely. Mr F. Lye, M.P., who is patron of the Te Awamutu Orphans’ Club, is expected to be present at the Ladies’ Night of the Club this evening, in company with the president and other members of the Cambridge Club.
