THE HICKSON MISSION.

FIBS'I SEE VICE US VVAIKATO. CUKE OF SPINAL CASE. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) HAMILTON, Wednesday. St. Peter's Church was packed this morning with people maimed and broken in health anxious for restoration through the mediumship of Mr J. AT. Hick&on. Bishop Averill took part in the .service and offered up prayer for those suffering. The missioner was listened to with close attention during his address 'lasting one and a half hours, after which he commenced the laying on of hands. One cure which is regarded as somewhat miraculous was reported immediately after the service concluded, namely that of Richard Walter Quintal, aged 25, who has for the last two years been an inmate of the Waihi public hospital, suffering from tuberculosis of the spine. He was brought across as a stretcher case to the mission. Mr Quintal was the lirst person to receive the laying on >oi! hands in the Church. On reaching the schoo'lroom he got up and walked steadily about the hall several times, and then down some concrete steps unaided to a car, which took him back to Sister White's private hospital. Mr Quintal returns to Waihi by the Thames express. Other minor cases of improved sight and relief from partial paralysis are reported. Several cases are also recorded of physical improvement before the arrival of the missioner.
