WAIPA COUNTY OFFICES.

NEW BUILDING IN TE AWAMUTTI The letting of a contract for the erection of new offices in Te Awarnutu was formally disposed of at yesterday's meeting of the Waipa CountyCouncil. The chairman 'informed the Council that the building was to cost £1550, subject to the arrangements recommended by the building committee. Contractors' had been asked to submit plans of a' building to a given ground plan at a cost of £ISOO or £1550. Independent advice had been obtained, an architect of high standing having been consulted. He had spoken very highly of all three offers submitted, and had recommended the acceptance o'f a tender made by Messrs Mclnnes and Ross.
