Urging that the Palmerston North •Borough Council should "go slow ' for the present in the .matter of expenditure, a representative deputation, 'comprising the leading business man of the town, waited upon the Mayor by Way of protest against the proposed (loan of £15,000 .for increasing facilities for sport and for other purposes.
