MUNICIPAL "GO-SLOW."
FAVOURED IN PALMERSTQN
Urging that the Palmerston North •Borough Council should "go slow ' for the present in the .matter of expenditure, a representative deputation, 'comprising the leading business man of the town, waited upon the Mayor by Way of protest against the proposed (loan of £15,000 .for increasing facilities for sport and for other purposes. The Mayor pointed out that the sports grounds could only he 'made re-ivenue-produoing by the proposed expenditure. 'Loan money was also required for extensions to the 'borough offices.
