CHARGE DISMISSED.
(EXPLANATION BY DEFENDANT,

Morgan Christopher O'Flaherty was charged at the Police Court with making 'counterfeit coins with intent to make them resemble current silver coins. He was also charged with purchasing 'Tatters'alFs tickets. Accused was arrested,for drunkenness and when searched copper coins wlhlioh had been silvered over were found on him. Accused said he was out of work and had been "canvassing for "silverold" solution. He used to deimanstrate its virtues upon pennies if no suitable metal were available. The presiding Justices held that no guilty intent had heen proved and the information was dismissed.
Accused was fined £1 on the eseond charge.
