TOOTH-BRUSH DRILL.
ITS VALUE DEMONSTRATED. The value of tooth-brush drill is indicated by.the result of a report from Dr Elizabeth Gunn on a large Taranaki school, which was brought before the notice of the Taranaki Education Board this week by the senior inspector. The report states that this school was the first in Taranaki to start tooth-brush drill. Every child does it and the results are most satisfactory. There are no septc mouths, and what to the doctor's mind is most extraordinary is that there are practically no enlarged glands or enlarged tonsils. Children noted last year as having two or three decayed teeth show no more caries at the end of this twelve months. This was demonstrated in many cases, and proves, she considers, that the use of the ' fruit acid wash' that is used at the school daily, not only cleanses the teeth, but prevents decay."
