POWER BOARD LOAN.

MEETING AT TE MAWHAI

A representative meeting of ratepayers was held yesterday afternoon at Te Mawhai. Mr N. M. Lethbridge ,(member of the Board for the district) occupied the chair, while Messrs F. S. Parlane and F. C. Daniel! were also present. The full purport of the loan was explained, after which Mr ICruickshank moved, and Mr E. E. Rushbrooke seconded, ' a hearty vote of thanks .for the explanations given and the information supplied, and that the meeting pledge itself to support the loan proposal at the forthcoming poll.—This was carried unanimously. A committee was set up to ascertain the requirements of the district regarding poles for service lines and the number of' consumers desiring to be linked with the power.
