WORK AT HUNTLY MINE.

TO RESUME ON MONDAY. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) HUNTLY, Friday. Work in the Extension Mine, stopper by reason of fire in No. 4 section has not yet been resumed. Yesterday afternoon two or three slight local explosions occurred at the seat of the outbreak, and resulting noxious vapours rendered it inadvisable to keep men in the mine during the night. One man got a touch of gas yesterday, but this morning he is • practically all right. Work of subduing the fire was resumed this morning, and it is believed that it is safe enough to allow the men to go back to work on Monday. Information has been received by the company stating that the fire has been extinguished.
