A MESSAGE FROM ENGLAND.

WELLINGTON, This Day. The Prime Minister has received the following telegram from the High Commissioner: — “A letter has been received from the Ministry of Food to the effect that it is now in a position to open negotiations for the purchase of next season’s New. Zealand butter.” - In the course of 'time the Prime
Minister will get into touch with representatives of the butter producers -in New Zealand, and then more will be heard of the offer of the British Government.
