Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows: — CLEARING SALE. We held a clearing sale at Matamata last Tuesday, the 16th inst., on account of Mr J. W. Timms, and disposed of the whole of his herd at an average of over £ll each. The cows ranged in prices from £2 15s to £l6; 2 year heifers in calf, £7 12s 6d ; farm horses rising 4 yrs, £33 10s ; hack £4 ss. HAMILTON SALE. We held our usual tri-weekly ! stock sale in the Hamilton yards last Thursday, the 18th inst., when we offered a small yarding, but practically the whole yarding was quitted at auction at very satisfactory prices. We quote : Fat cows (medium weights) £9 7s 6d; ditto (light) £6 Qs to £7 4s ; store cows £3 6s to £4 ; 18 months steers £4 7s 6d ; good steer calves £2 10s; poor conditioned calves (mostly heifers) 19s 6d to 25s ; good conditioned heifer calves 30s to £2 ; dairy cows £6 ; springing heifers £3 Iss. TE AWAMUTU SALE. We held our usual monthly sale at Te Awamutu on Saturday, the 10th inst. Only a small yarding came forward, but practically all lines were disposed of at auction rates. We quote : Fat steers £9 15s to £l2 ; fat cows (heavy) £9 17s 6d to £lO 17s 6d ; ditto (medium weights) £9 ; light and unfinished £6 5s to £7 ss; store cows £3 12s to £5 7s 6d; calves (mixed sexes) 35s to £2 19s; springers £4 17s 6d to £7 17s 6d.
