PREMIER PICTURES.

The vitagraph drama, “A Modern Prodigal,” was the star drama shown at the Town Hall last evening. After passing through the crucial tests of youthful folly, an only son redeems himself from the filters of vice, and in true prodigal fashion returns to his home and rescues his aged mother from poverty and want. A sporting drama, “ Billiards by Reece,” was splendidly screened, and created a good deal of interest. “In the Usurer’s Grip,” “ Olaf, the Atom ” and “ Escape from Prison ” completed a splendid selection of dramas, whi-e there was the usual number of topical interest and comic films. The whole programme was a really admirable one.
