FOR FARMERS. MASTERTON, Last night. “That a scheme be brought down at the provincial executive to provide something in the nature of a Farmers’ Union commercial exchange to enable members to buy or sell from each other or from merchants and firms at a special concession to members of the union and at a very slight percentage of commissions to the union for all such transactions accomplished,” was a resolution carried at a general meeting- of the Pahiatuu branch of the Farmers’ Union. The Wairarapa provincial secretary of the union, Mr J. Watson, said that the union might act as an agent between buyer and seller at a commission of 11 per cent.
