HUNDRED POUNDS PENALTY. DUNEDIN, Last night. Arthur Lord, who was represented F Mr White, pleaded guilty in the 'olice Court this morning to using his remises as a common gaining house, he defendant was lined £IOO and sets, 10s. Chief - Detective Cameron stated “at detectives had visited the deffldant’s house and defendant handd over a list of' bets taken yesterday Stalling £2O 10s. He had been bookjaking for a number of years in Junedin, but hud not been before the curt for a long time.
