[Own Correspondent]. School Committee. Mr A. E. Black presided over the monthly meeting of the School Committee, at which there were present— Messrs J. Ashby, T. E. Colquhoun, J. Bartlett, A. H. Bull, 0. Page and F. E. Williams. The chairman reported that the matter of finishing and equipipng the dental clinic was proceeding satisfactorily. As the total cost of this work and the subsequent maintenance will be considerable, it was decided to apply to the Education Board for a grant. The committee agreed to procure a net for the tennis court. The headmaster (Mr Jas. Mcßae) reported that the roll was- 1(50 and the attendance 1)2.1 per cent, of the possible. During the month a number of garden tools had come to hand from the Board, al.-o a further supply of gramophone records from the Department. Several minor repairs were carried out during the month.
