(Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, This day. Complaints were made at the Hospital Board meeting to-day regarding the Government’s action in closing the Cambridge Sanatorium. Members stated there was a slackening of the Government’s effort in fighting consumption, and the closing of the Cambridge institution was a retrogressive step. Members stated it was not fair to dump the North Island consumptives into Christchurch. The Board decided to ask the Government’s reasons for closing Cambridge.
