“The Only Son,”, the “star” film on Monday night’s programme at the Pictures, is a. drama Avitli a strong heart interest. It tells how a man wrapped up in business neglects his Avife, who in her loneliness seeks the friendship of an artist. How the situation is saved by the ingenuity of the Avoman’s only son is splendidly portrayed. “Modern and Ancient Rome” is a scenic holding great interest, and “The Jungfrau Railway ■’ is a splendid companion picture. A fine number of the “Pathe Gazette” and a Vita, comedy, “The Fox Trot Finesse,” complete an excellent programme.
