The Butchers’ Strike. (Received 9.30 am, To-day) SYDNEY, This day The master butchers state that every shop io the metropolitan area will be opened to day. It is alleged that many volunteers are tffering their services, including a number of unionist shopmen. The masters also claim that 5000 farmers and their sons are ready to come from the country if they are needed. Tbe men deny that any unionists have returued to work but a meeting will be held this forenoon, whereat the leaders will explain tbe position as far as tbe offer of the masters to re-engage union ists is concerned.
