Tho wicket was a good one, thanks to the ground committee, who have been unre mitting in the care they have taken of the ground this year. Afternoon tea was kindly provided by (lie ladies. The match w >a a capital one, both teams playing well The fielding of tho visitors was particularly good. The home team wont to the wickets first and made 88, Tuke 26. Fernley 17, aDd Bailey 11, being tbe principal scorers The Norsewood meD 'ihen wielded the willow, and were all out for 58, Tolkinnen 15, Englebretsen 12, and Grant 10, boing the principal scorers.

Canning contributing !|fl Simpson 17, Davis 13, and Toko Norsewood made a better stand in thJS seoond innings with 94 Fayem plays'll good game, making 35, and ChristofiJß sen 18. The home team thus won runs. At a meeting held at the Tavistfl Hotel last night, a committee was JH pointed to make arrangements for JH swimming carnival. Tho committee JH all interested in the matter will meetfll Friday at 8 p.m.
