Special Constables in Sydney.

[to the editor.] Sib, —In your issue of August 28th I notice that 2000 special constables are to be sworn in in Sydney. Doubtless it would be an offence against the law to refuse to be sworu, but I cousider that aa papital has brought on the present diffi cully, they should b« oompelled to put up with the consequences, and tho Unions should do all in their power to keep men from being sworn. Now or never must the working men stand shoulder to' shoulder. Starvation is preferable to tyranny.—l am, &0.,

Justice,
