The game is scheduled for decision at 2.15 p.m. The junior team, which will leave the Post Office at 11.15 a.m. to play a Boyce Cup game at Matamata, should prove capable of a bold showing. Its task is no easy one as Matamata dis- , posed of Te Awamutu by 19 points to 3 last Saturday nd is sure to have bene fited from recent match-play. The local sub-union's annual seven, a-side tournament will be decided on September 3. Should the local junior representative team win the Boyce Cup tomorrow junior seveiva-side games will be postponed until a later date. Entries in all grades, together with names of team members, will close with Mr J. Clark at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 30 August. Fourth Grade Final The final match in the Cambridge Rugby Sub-Union's fourth' grade championship competition for the Boulton Shield played recently was a "thriller" from beginning to end, High School No. 2 beating High School No. 1, 14—13. . The High School No. 1 team playing with the wind in the first half led 10—3 at the interval. In the second half the No. 2 team bustled its opponents into errors and the score changed to 10—6, 13—6, and 13—9 in fairly quick time. In a good concerted rush the No. 2 team, scored a try fairly wide out to be down one point 12—13 with the kick still to be taken. With great deliberation and all the care of a "Bob Scott," Ted Hulse landed a goal and No. 2 lead 14—13. Stung by this reverse the No. 1 team drove up field and with a grand passing rush were in full sail for the line when a forward pass was ruled. Shortly afterwards full time was called with No. 2 the winners by two tries, one converted, and two penalty goals, to three tries, two of which were converted. This victory gave the No. 2 team the championship with 10 points. No. 1 being runners-up with 8 points; United and Hautapu having withdrawn early in the competition. In the No. 1 team Brian Fell, Des. Bell and Lance Hjorth have been the best backs, while in the forwards Colin Wallace and Derald Petherbridge have been most prominent with Vincent Wright, Glen Pullar and Roland Schwass lending good support. In the No. 2 team Roger Dallas, John Hately and Terry Youngman have been the outstanding backs with John Looker, Keith Inglis, Frank Bartrum and Malcolm Bowers the best forwards. Ted Hulse who play-' ed both in the backs and in the for-1 wards was probably the outstanding, fourth grade player of the season and he proved a championship winner J last Saturday when he registered eight points with his boot. Mention should also be made of the good performances of many of the other players in the grade, particularly by some of the smaller boys, such as Dan Wharry and Alan Marshall.
