Progress Of The Orepunga District

The recent formation of the Orepunga- Settlers' Association is an indication of progress in that district. At the meeting it was agreed that in view of the good work done for the district in the past by a similar organisation that the Orepunga Settlers' Association be formed. A committee of five is to be elected to hold office for one year. It was also the unanimous opinion of the meeting that a district hall had long been needed and the committee of the association will organise a hall fund. Already a sum of money has been donated and steps are being taken to augment the fund.
