“This meeting of the Paeroa branch of Federated Farmers, although not favouring compulsion in any form, feels that to compete with other sections of the community in the obtaining of our just rights the Federated Fafmers of New Zealand must be made a compulsory union.” was a remit from the Paeroa Stanch discussed at the quarterly confer enee of the Northern Thames sub-provin-cial executive of Federated Farmers held in Thames recently. The remit was carried on a show of hands, 18 voting for the remit and 13 against it.
