A GOOD SIGN

MANY SUB-DIVISIONS MOST APPROVED BY COUNCIL "It's a good sign," said Cr. S. Lewis when the Mayor (Mr W. Moore) commented on the large number of applications for subdivisions before the Council on Wednesday evening last. "It will mean more houses soon," said Mr Moore. The sub-divisions approved were as follow: W. J. Halliday for sections 323 and 324. J. McMillan subdivision. W. Greenhill, transfer of half acre section to E. Tucker. Mrs A. B. Connolly, sec. 325 Bowfen Street. Est. John Byrne,- section 313, Princes Street. E. Palmer to R. N. Pahner, sub-division Princes Street. The application by J. G. Hindmarsh for the sub-division of sections 274 and 276 was referred back, as the Council was not satisfied with the width of a long right-of-way to this back section area.
