May Be Asked To Store Clip.— The possibility that growers might be asked this year to store their wool was stressed by Mr L. Hammond, a member of the Dominion Executive of the Farmers’ Union, when addressing farmers in Palmerston North last week. He said there existed a world accumulation of 12,000,000 bales and the New Zealand stores were congested. Britain had guaranteed to take all clips during the war and one year after, but the accumulation \Vas the worrying feature of the whole .situation. The holdover would depress prices and delay in remedial j measures was dangerous. Regard-! ing meat. Mr Hammond said the Meat Board was collecting information about costs for the presentation of a case to the Stabilisation Commission for, an increase in last year’s prices. He urged all farmers to support the new farmers’ organisation, saying it was imperative that they be united.
