WAIKATO HUNT

THE PUTARURU WARD FINAL MEET IN DISTRICT Fine weather prevailed for the final meet of the season of the Putaruru ward of the Waikato Hunt held from the property of Mr E. D. White. There was a following of over 40 riders.

Hares were fairly plentiful, and several fine runs were made over good hunting country. There was one kill. The properties traversed were those of Messrs E. D. White, E. Speake, W. Jensen and B. Harris.

Morning and afternoon tea was provided at Mr and Mrs E. D. White’s residence by members of the ladies’ committee and other helpers. At the conclusion of the hunt the Master, Mr Wynn Brown, thanked the Putururu ladies for their hospitality during the season, and expressed the hope that he would attend many more hunts in this district.
