HERD TESTING
AVERAGES FOR PAST SEASON Interesting details of the cows in the Cambridge district tested by the Auckland Herd Improvement, Society are contained in the group averages for the past season. In the Hautapu-Tamahere group, 34 herds (2257 cows) averaged 6227 lbs milk, with 4.69 test, and 292.2 lbs fat on 264 days. The Kaipaki group of 11 herds (625 cows) averaged 6797 lbs milk, with 4.97 test, and 338 lbs fat on 280 days. The Matangi group of 41; herds (2734' cows) averaged 5966 lbs milk with 4.84 test and 288.7 lbs fat on 265 days. The Pukekura group of 31 herds (1678 cows) averaged 5835 lbs milk, with 4.97 test and 298.8 lbs fat on 261 days.
