AT CAMBRIDGE SHOW JUDGING ON HOOK Pigs in the special classes at the Cambridge Show have now been judged on hook at Horotiu and with final awards made, the aggregate results are as follows: Baconer, dead weight 1201 bto 1601 b: J. G. Barton, 50 points on hoof, 17 points on hook, total 97 points, 1; R. Chilcott, 47 points on hoof, 40 points on hook, total 93 points, 2; J. W. Pentelow, 40 points on hoof, 45 points on hook, 3. T. Forkett, whose entry was third at the show, was found to be overweight on the hook. Heavy Porker: G. H. Barton, 50 points on hoof, 46 points on hook, total SO points, 1; R. SPECIAL RIBBONS AWARDED AT THE SHOW A pleasing feature of the Waikato Central Agricultural Association's Show was the presentation of two very handsome special championship ribbons to the champion hack and champion hunter respectively. The former was given by the wife of the president, Mrs H. J. Crowther, and the latter by Mrs Frank Vosper. The ribbons were of broad white silk, tf;swelled at either end, and the lettering beautifully embroidered. These ribbons took the place of the ordinary championship ribbons, and were highly prized by the winners of the two important events.
