CONCERT FOR CRICKET CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent.) A most enjoyable concert was given in the Kaipaki Hall on Easter Monday night by the "Leamington Merry Makers." The varied and entertaining programme consisted of songs, monologues, musical and elocutionary items. There was a large and appreciative audience. Mr A. Goodwin, on behalf of the Cricket Club, for whose benefit the concert was arranged, heartily thanked the concert party for their kindness in coming to Kaipaki, and, in expressing the wish, that they would pay a return visit in the near future, asked the audience to show their appreciation by acclamation.
After supper a dance was held until 12 p.m. Mr A. Flctdher ■ and Miss Edwards, (Ohaupo) supplied the music and' Mrs Laurent (Eukuhia) piayed an extra. Each were thanked by the Cricket Club. The following was tho programme: Pianoforte solo, Mrs L. Tripp; song, "Absent," Miss Phyllis Johnstone; humorous monologue, Mr R. Klaus; violin solos, Miss Tripp; recitation, Miss Nola Johnstone; humorous item, "A Pen'north of Pins," Club's Comedian; songs, Miss Low; play;ette,'"Tho Cheer Up League," "Visit. toHhe Hospital;" playette, "The Domineernrgs Wife;" humorous item, Mr Hosking; sketch, "Orange Bloosom." Cricket Match.
The last of the Waipa Cricket Association's matches was played on Saturday, when the Kaipaki A team met the Rukuhia A team, at Rukuhia. Eukuhia batted first and were all dismissed for 32 runs (C. Perrow 5, not out). Kaipaki made 57 runs (J. Tarr 10). ....
