QUARTERLY MEETING HELD. SYNOD INVITED TO MEET IN CAMBRIDGE. Tho quarterly meeting of the Cambridge Methodist Circuit was held this week when the Rev. J. Richards presided over a good attendance. Miss E, Wood and Messrs I. Hicks and E. Easter were welcomed to their first quarterly meeting.... Sympathetic reference was made to the death of Mrs Fitzgerald, an old member of the Church. A message of goodwill was sent from the meeting to Mr S. Cowling in his sickness. Membership returns showed a slight increase. The balanco sheet submitted by Mr E. J. Vinall revealed a credit of about £G. Arrangements for the annual circuit rally to be held early in May were set in motion. It was resolved to invito the South Auckland Methodist District Synod to meet at Cambridge for its annua! gathering in November. Reports from the Sunday Schools and Bible Classes were encouraging. Plans for aggressive work through the winter months were discussed. The meeting opened and closed with praise and prayer.
