WAIRAEAU CLUB. COMPETITIONS AND MATCHES. The winners of the competition played last week for trophies presented by Mr Kirkby were:—Men: First, G. Middlcton; second, M. Garland. Ladies: First, Miss Dean; second, Mrs C. Peake. On Saturday next a match will be played for trophies donated by Mrs Peake. The following is the draw:— R. Curric and Strawbridgc; B. Hill and Garland; T. Hill and C. Peake; R. Kirkby and W. Currie; Meeking and Nobbs; E. J. Peake and Middleton; Scott and Ariell; Day and C. Kirkby; Harficld a bye; Miss M. Meeking and Miss Dean; Mrs E. J. Peake and Mrs Garland; Miss Mayes and Miss Mocking; Mrs C. Peake. and Mrs Day; Mrs Middleton and Mrs Hill.
