MANAWATU SALE 185 GUINEAS FOB HEIFER (By Telegraph—Press Association) PALMERSTON X., June 23. A sale of pedigree Jersey stock was held at To Matai vosterday on account of Mr S. K. Lancaster, buyers being present, from all parts of the North Island, also one from Melbourne, whose purchases were limited to two animals at a moderate figure. The top price of the sale was 185 guineas, paid by Mr H. J. Lancaster for the heifer Golden Maid. There was good competition for better-quality entries, and only a small proportion was passed in. The highest price for n stud bull was 85 guineas.
