HERD TESTING

LEVIN ASSOCIATION'S RESULTS INTERESTING RECORDS The Levin Cow-Testing Association has received the testing results for the period ending December 15. The number of herds under test for the month was 42, comprising 597 cows. The figures show that a herd of 19 cows gavo an average return of 16201 bof milk, a test of 4.7, and fat to the amount of 47.09; and another of 10 cows a return of 12301 b of milk for 46.441 bof fat, with a 3.8 test. A small herd of three returned an average of 10801 b of milk, a test of 4.8, for 52.20 lb of fat. The individual returns show that the best yield for the month was *70.501b of fat from 15001 b of milk, the test being 4.7, the next being 64.151 b of fat from 13651 b of milk and a test of 4.7. On the other hand the lowest return was 601 b of milk, which gave 2.101 bof fat, the test .sbeing 3.5. Another individual produced 18.31 of fat from 5551 b of milk, the test in this case being 3.3. The Association average for the 42 herds was 9221 b of milk per nead, a test of 4.2, and a fat production of 38.531 b.
