OBITUARY
MR A. L. GARLAND It is with great regret that we have to record the death of Mr Albert Leopold Garland, of Okauia, third sou of Mr and Mrs Ben Garland, well-known residents of Leamington, at the early age of 38 years. Mr Garland some little time ago contracted typhoid fever, and despite every care at the Waikato Hospital, he passed away at that institution last night. Deceased was born in Cambridge, and spent* all his young days here, being a bright young man and a favourite with all. He left here some twelve or thirteen, years ago, and after some time at Te Awamutu,. took up farming at Okauia. near Matamata. He leaves a widow and two young . children—a boy and a girl—with whom deep sympathy is felt.
Mr Beg. Garland, brother to deceased, and his wife and child are all suffering from typhoid, and are patients at the Waikato Hospital. The funeral takes place at Cambridge to-morrow, leaving Leamington at 1.30 p.m.
