CAMBRIDGE CIRCUIT. v ■"*■■": ■ - I QUARTERLY MEETING The quarterly meeting of officials of the Cambridge Methodist circuit took place at St. Paul's schoelroom on Thursday evening last, when there were' present: Eev. Cocks and F, Penn. -,.'■.. {% . , \ s Pinance ' •' The balance sheet showed a credit balance, but there were one or two outstanding liabilities which, when met, would leave a small deficit. However, "the financial position was regarded as satisfactory. * i , / Home Missions Mr H. A. Melville (Mission secretary) submitted his report on Home Mission work, showing that the sum of £6O had been raised in the circuit for the year—a gratifying increase. Mr Melvillo was warmly thanked for his past services, .and suggestions made by him were endorsed. Harvest Festivals.

It was resolved to hold the annual Harvest Festival in connection with St. Paul's Chureh during the month of February, on a date to be arranged by the minister, and that the. Sunday's collections that day be devoted to the Trust fund. Special harvest thanksgiving services will also be held at Leamington and Fencourt, the officials in these centres to arrange with Rev. McArthur as to dates.

Centenary Ceelebrations. Communications were received notifying the meeting that Sunday, January 22nd, was to be recognised as Commemoration Sunday in connection with the Methodist Centenary, and Sunday March 19th, as General Thanksgiving Sunday. ', '"' ' ' -"•—«'-■'' :

The following were elected a Centenary Committee, to make arrangements for;the Centenary celebrations, viz., Mcsdames Palmer and A. Gane, Messrs J. W. Cocks, R. J. Melville, G. ,W. Simpson} C. H. Bycroft, Frank Penn, W. R. Beer and Bridgeman. ' ' \ Election of Officers.

The following officers were duly elected ;—Circuit Stewards, / Messrs C. H. Bycroft and Frank /Penn; Society Stewards, SL Paul's, ]v(essra R. J. Melville, F. W. Byerdft, E. B. Kemsley, C. B. Bycroft and BxA. Melville: auxiliary'stewards, Messrs, A. R. Penn, F, Cartmill, W. Gutry, and J. Culley. Leamington, , Messrs C. S. Beer, and J. J. Bridgeman: Fencourt, Messrs T. W. Norman and A. C. Beer: Pukerimu, Miss Scott (acting): Karapiro, Mr W. D. Simpson; Poor Stewards, Cambridge Mcsdames Palmer and Geo. Reed, and Miss Hooker; Leamington, Mrs D. Kingdom: Fencourt, Mrs G. W. Simpson and Mrs*W. R. Beer; Envelope Steward, Mr T. Cummack. Invitation to Synod. The action of the circuit's Synod representatives in inviting Synod for 1922 to be held at Cambridge was approved by the,meeting. After discusions of various matters relating to church work the meeting terminated;
