WEDDING AT TATJRANGA Y< i LUNDON—POOLE •i * . *v_ Independent's Special Reporter. A quiet but very pretty wedding was solemnised at the Holy Trinity Church, Tauranga, on Boxing. Day, the contracting parties being Miss Zoe Poole, second daughter of Mr and Mrs Poole, formerly of Cambridge, to MJD. J. Lundoh, only son of Mrs Lundon and the late Mr%. Lundon, of Cambridge. The officiating clergyman was ' the Rev. J. McCutcheon. Mr Crump presided at the organ. The bride looked charming as'she entered the Church on her ' father ? s arm. Her frock was of ivory bengaline and georgette, and her veil had a large true-lovers knot worked on the 'back of it. The veil was, kept in place with orange blossoms. She carried a sheaf of Xmas lilies. Her only bridesmaid Was her Miss Zeta Poole, who'-* wore'-, champagne , pailette silk, trimmed with blue flowers. On New Year's Eve"Mr and Mrs H. Lewis entertained a number of fr'iends, with music and games, until midnight. A dainty supper. was served, and a very jolly time was spent seeing the New r Year in. Mrs Lewis received her guests, in a black crepe de chine frock [with a white net. and lace vest; Mrs Fincker was wearing black lace and gold; Mrs Geo. Singer, black net and emerald green; Mrs Benham, black and gold; Mrs Grace Walsh, black lace; Miss Marion Cox; black net and emerald green; Miss- Lundon, white net with jazz trimming; Miss Z. Poole, ,blaek crepe decline, and Miss Swayne yellow satin. ;The gentlemen present were Messrs H. Lewis, G. Singer, A. Boyce, F. Swayne, and Dr Benham.

Mr and Mrs E. Lee gave a New Year's Eve supper party to a number of friends, when a, most sumptuous repast was provided. The evening passed merrily with music, and games. Mrs Lee received her guests in a black frock trimmed with ratine; Mrs Nelson was wearing dull black silk with touches of, gold; Mrs Herrold, flame georgette 'embroidered in gold; Mrs Stapley, black georgette over satin; Mrs Nicoll, paie pink georgette frock with a tunic of Limerick lace draped with mauve, blue and pink ribbons; Mrs N, Banks, black 'georgette over satin; Miss Alice Hally, .white lace, arid Miss Stevens, grey crepe de chine. The gentlemen were Messrs Lee, Nelson, Norman Banks, Nicoll and Br Stapley. r ' '■;" •',:."''.'-.' Mrs W..H. Reed gave a jolly little evening at her residence in Queen St., on Friday, , the 30th. Among those present were Mr and Mrs Malcolm, Mr- and Mis M. P. MeDermott, Mrs Walsh and Mr A. Swayne. Mr Malcolm and Mrs Walsh gave much appreciated monologues during the evening, which passed all too quickly.
