DRAINAGE BOARD
UPPER MANOAPIKO, y A meeting of the tipper Mangapiko . Drainage Board was held at Roto-o-Rangi on January Bth last. There were present: Messrs E. B. Cox, shainnan, J. W. Peake, G. W. Parr, and F. Strawbridge. On the motion of the chairman, a vote of condolence and sympathy was tendered to the secretary in the recent loss of Mrs. Veale. After discussion Mr. Strawbridgo was deputed to examine and report on £he creek to Moislcy’s and the Mill and to get the necessary work done. The chairman and Captain Peake were authorised to get all the smaller, works done by day work or contract to the best advantage. It was moved by Mr. Cox and seconded by Mr. Peake and carried, that notice be given to the property owners on the Board’s drains to clear all growth from the drain banks. The secretary was ipst&cted to the Cambridge Dairy Coy., calling attention to the state of the Roto-o-Rungi creamery drain and pointing out that there is no water to carry away the refuse. Mr. Strawbridge was authorised to get the necessary tools and explosives to carry on the work of the oßard.
