WAIKATO GUN CLUB.
A melting of members of the Waikato Gun Club was held at the Fraukton Junction Hotel on Wednesday evening, Mr F. B Jolly in the chair. A balance-sheet, showing a debit balance of 7s 6d, was read and adopted. Mr S. Marker was appointed hou, sec. to the club and Mr Jos. Mcßae treasurer. Messrs R. J. Gwynue, Jos. Mcßae, aud F. B. Jolly were appointed a committee to act on the opening day.
It was decided that the opening day of the season be held un Wednesday, 30th September. It was deoided that the shield held by Mr R. McCracken, presented by the Colonial Ammunition Company, be fired for on the third Wednesday in each month for five months consecutively, and, failing attendance of members on those days, two additional Wednesdays are allowed ; 15 yards rise ; to start on 21st October. Mr Mcßae offered a handsome silver cup to be competed for on the first Wednesday in each month for five months, on the tame conditions as the 3hield competition, only Colonial ammunition to ba used.—Mr Mcßae was accorded a hearty vo>e of thanks.
Mr F. Newell kindly accepted the position of hamiicapper to the club.
