" As a result of the recent award of the Arbitration Court, raising the wages of cabinetmakers to Is 3d per hour, all the cabinetmakers in Auckland have been locked out. Five firms who employed cabinetmakers have agreed to take this course. They stale that they are determined to employ no cabinetmakers on the terms awarded by the Court, and will import all furniture required for their business. Over 1(10 men have been locked out.
