(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION). Auckland, Last Night. A CONTRACT for £4780 has been let for the erection of the Marisc Bros.' College at Cox's Creek, Ponsonby. William Richardson, prohibtion lecturer, was refused permission to hold mid-day meetings in Wyndham Street by the City Council. A well attended meeting of citizens was held to-night in favour of the movement, for Bible reading in schools. A plebiscite on the question will probably be taken.
