NORTH KAIPARA AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
[FROM OTTR RAPAROA CORRESPONDENT.] A meeting of the Executive Committee of the above society took place in the Paparoa Hall on Saturday, 24th September. Present, Messrs G. Skelton V.P. in the chair, G. Cliff sen., J. E. Cliff, G. Tibbiis, .T. B. Ariel], C. A. Haines, A. Martin, H. C. Nutsford (Mareretu), J.M. Metcalfe, E.Phesant (Matakoke), W. Sorby (Pahi) and W. Hook, secretary. An apology for non attendance was received from A. Colbeck esq. A circular from the Auckland Provincial Agricultural Association was read, desiring to know if the Society would send delegates to the forthcoming Auckland conference in November. It was resolved “ That the President, (E. Coates esq.,) Messrs A. Colbeck and J, B. Ariell, be delegates to represent the N. K. Agricultural ' Society.” The Secretary was instructed to ascertain date of Conference, and to make the suggestion that it be held at the time of the Auckland Chow. Resolved that the North JKaipara Agricultural Society be incorporated. , the Secretary to prepare petition for members’ signatures as soon as possible, and when sufficient signatures are obtained, forward the same to the proper authorities. A request was received from Messrs Hill and Co., hosiers, of Whangarei, desiring to know upon what terms they would be allowed to exhibit samples of hosiery etc. Resolved that they be allowed to exhibit upon paying ,fhe sum of ss, and taking a member’s ticket, but that they be informed that- the space available will be limited.
■ The Stock Act and Dairy Inspection Act were laid on the table, having been sent to the Society by Jackson Palmer esq. M.H.R., for suggestions or comment, nothing however was done regarding them.
