Though they huve been fired, the guaranteed prices for butterfat, whieh operate as from to-day and which dairy farmers all over the Dominion are particularly anxious to know, are not to be realised until early next week. This was indicated to-day by the Minister of Marketing (the Hon. W. Nash), who stated in an interview that he was Mt'yet in a position to disclose the figure. "Yon can rest assured,” he eaid, " that the farmers will know as soon as they are in a position to deliver their produce. They can scarcely do that before next Wednesday.” The Government’s inability to reveal the desired information to-day was confirmed by the Prime Minister (the Rt. M. J. Savage), who declined to amplify his statement. There is a definite poseibility that the information may be given to the country when the Budget comes down on Tuesday night. From to-day all dairy produce pro dneed and manufactured will become the property of the State when it is placed upon the steamer for export. LONDON MARKET. LATEST QUOTATIONS.
