SEARCH FOR TALENT.
MOVEMENTS OF RUGBY SELECTORS. PARTY VISITS CARTERTON. I New Zealand’s search for Rugby talent to meet the visiting Australian team saw all -’the''North Island selectors watching the Wairarapa-Waikato match at Carterton on Saturday. Mr. E. McKenzie, chairman of -the New Zealand selection committee, was accompanied by Messrs G. Nicholson (Auckland) and M. F. Nicholls (Wellington), North Island and New Zealand selectors and Mr. H. Masters (Taranaki), North Island selector. Messrs McKenzie ahd Masters will be in attendance at the Canterbury-Auck-land match at Christchurch next Saturday, while Messrs Nicholls and Nicholson will watch the Hawke’s Bay-Wel-lington game at Wellington. Two of the selectors will also visit Hawke’s Bay this week and next Sunday they will all assemble at Wellington to select the North Island team. The All Black side for the first test will be selected at Auckland after the Auckland v. Australia match. Messrs 8. S. Dean (chairman) and W. J. Wallace, of the Management /Jommittee of the New Zealand Union were also present at Carterton on Saturday.
