PLUNKET WORKER.
MRS H. H. DAWSON FAREWELLED Members of the Masterton branch the Plnnket Society yesterday entertained Mrs. H. H. Dawson at morning tea at Messrs Hugo and Shearer’s, prior to her departure for Nelson. On behalf of the committee, Lady Perry presented Mrs. Dawson with a bouquet. Mrs. J. Caselberg- president of th* branch, expressed the regret of members at losing Mrs. Dawson, who had joined the society in 1917 and became a member of the committee in 1925. She was one of the young mothers who received instruction from the pioneer* of the movement in Masterton. Her cheerful and ready willingness to take part in any work in the interests of the society had been deeply appreciated. Mrs. T. Jordan spoke in eulogistic terms of the good work done by Mrs. Dawson in Plunket an<f othet directions and Mrs. R. Miller, Kopuaranga, also added a few words of appreciation of her work.
In reply, Mrs. Dawson thanked the committee and said how very much she regretted leaving Mastertop and how much she had enjoyed her happy connection with the Plunket Society, in whose future progress she would always be keenly interested. The singing of “For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow” brought the gathering to a close.
