WRESTLING.
MATCH AT MASTERTON TO-NIGHT. BLOMFIELD AND RUSSELL. As the result of a change which has been made in the contestants for the professional wrestling bout at Masterton to-night, local patrons will now have an opportunity* of seeing a contest which thrilled a big crowd at Auckland on Saturday. “Cowboy Bob” (“Rebel”) Russell replaces Chris Zaharias as Lofty Blorafield’s opponent and the result promises to be a fast, and interesting contest between two particularly well-matched wrestlers. Wairarapa enthusiasts have already been shown that Russell is one of the most colourful of the present season’s importations, and the fact that he is to be in action again will increase the bout’s appeal to the public. Russell ’infuses plenty of fire into his mat work and invariably keeps a bout moving at a fast pace. This will particularly be the case with Blomfield in the opposite corner as the Aucklander likes the proceedings to be as aggressive as possible and is seen at his best when he has an opponent who will meet him at least half-way.
