At a meeting of the Wairarapa Automobile Association at Greytown on Thursday night, Mr. D. L. Taverner brought up the question of glaring headlights, stating that a dangerous practice was growing, whereby an approaching car dipped its lights, and when the other car did not do SO, immediately raised them again. The defaulting car most probably was one of the old type with no dipping arrangement, and could not respond to the courtesy of dipped lights. The action of the dipped lamps being immediately raised did nothing but accentuate the danger of both drivers, and while he could not suggest a remedy, he thought something should be done to point out and cheek the growing danger.
