WATER COLOUR EXHIBITION.
TO-MOBBOW AND WEWTOPAY, Art lovers will welcome the opportunity of visiting the exhibition of water colours by H. EL Pulliene (Mra Spencer) in the Masterton Sketch Club’s in Bannister Street, tomorrow and on Wednesday. The exhibition, which: will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days, is said to,, be far ahead ‘ of anything of its kind hitherto seen<in Masterton. Mrs. Spencer is specially devoted to bush scenes and is happiest when in the “waybacks’’ of. the kauri forests, hunting out specimens of these giants in their most picturesque haunts. She is aiao, however, exhibiting many charming views of open country and delightful river vistas, including a few locally painted...As Mrs. Speneer has lately returned from a sketching tour in Australia there will, of course, bs many works from that country including several ot‘ them ef the well-known BlueMountains. Toadstools may sot sound attractive, but Mrs. Spencer has found: in them subjects for several: fascinating little sketches. She has- lately begun, to make a study of New Zealand fungi and finds them full of possibilities from an artistic standpoint?
