AUTUMN CATTLE FAIR.
WRIGHT, STEPHENSON & GO., LTD. Messrs Wright, Stephenson & Co., Ltfl., .report on their Supplementary Cattle Fair at the Masterton Yards:— /Our entry comprised 470 head of all classes. There was -.a large and representative attendance,’buyers being present from the West 'Coast. There was not a very optimistic feeling about prospects for the stile, and vendors were prepared 'to accept lower values than have been rilling at previous sales. The bidding was fairly free up to certain limits, and although values were certainly low, the ’drop was not as much as anticipated. Weaner steers and heifers were only wanted at reduced values, and prices showed a drop of about 10/- per head on the recent Pahiatua Sale.
