DURING FOG IN ENGLISH CHANNEL. OCCUPANTS ESCAPE INJURY. RUGBY, May 2. Two airmen, -Mr. Gadzar, a 19-year-old Indian, of Bombay, and Hjrr Hell, of Vienna, aged 29, made a forced lading in a fog over the Channel during the night when their petrol supply was exhausted. Distress. signals were observed by the crew of the French fishing boat La Rafale, which was 18 miles north-west of Dieppe, and both airmen were rescued, having suffered no injury apart from bruises. The airmen, who had been undergoing advanced aviation instruction at iSouthampton, were returning from an air pilots’ conference at Geneva when the mishap occurred. — (British Official Wireless.)
