ANTHRAX IN SYDNEY.
WOOL-SCOURER INFECTED. SYDNEY, May 3. About fourteen days ago, while handling wool at .Botany scouring works, Walter Cooper, twenty-four, his left arm. A small eruption appeared. Some hours later be became ill and slightly delirious. The eruption became an ulcer and Cooper contracted anthrax. He is now in hospital recovering, after injections of anti-anthrax serum.
The Minister of Health (Mr. Weaver) is having regulations framed to lessen the dangers to workers among articles which may cause anthrax or tetanus.
